Letter to Texas Governor Rick Perry on holding polluters accountable

The TCEQ has a poor track record of holding polluters accountable. Oil refineries and chemical plants are consistently exceeding their pollution permits. Ask Governor Rick Perry to stand up to dirty polluters by directing TCEQ to hire more enforcement officers, take action on pollution events and enforcing financial penalties.

Take action by writing a letter to Governor Perry. You can use any or all of the following in drafting your own letter.

Dear Governor Perry, Texas families' health are at risk. Many cities throughout the state rank among the worst for hazardous air pollution. I ask that you put the health of Texas families before corporate profits and direct TCEQ to hire more enforcement officers, take action against illegal emission event and enforce financial penalties.
