As a new community outreach activity, Citizens League
for Environmental Action Now (CLEAN) is hosting an environmental film
series to educate the public on environmental issues. By partnering with
Rice University’s Center for the Study of Environment and Society,
the series stands to bring out students and the general public to raise
awareness and facilitate discussion about environmental issues.
Each screening will include a special guest to answer questions from the

All screenings will be held at 7pm at the Rice Media Center, Rice University located
at 6100 Main St. ( Entrance #8 at the corner of Stockton and University
Blvd.) Houston, TX 77006.

A middle man comes to grips with Peak Oil, Climate Change, Mass Extinction, Population Overshoot and the demise of the Culture of Empire. Featuring interviews with Daniel Quinn, Derrick Jensen, Jerry Mander, Chellis Glendinning, Richard Heinberg, Thomas Berry, William Catton, Ran Prieur and Richard Manning. What is it doing to us as thoughtful human beings as we face the overwhelming challenges of: * Peaking fossil fuel flow rates? * Critically degraded ecosystems? * A changing climate? * An exploding global population? * Teetering global economies? * An unstable political climate?
