Wendee Holtcamp
Environmental Writer
Houston-based writer/photographer Wendee Holtcamp travels around the world to report on wildlife and environmental issues ranging from community-based tourism involving Peruvian Amazon indigenous tribes to sea turtles in Costa Rica. Her articles have been published in National Wildlife, Sierra, and Audubon Magazines, Discovery Channel Online, AnimalPlanet.com, NPRs All Things Considered, and others. She regularly contributes to Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine. Holtcamp has a M.S. in Wildlife Ecology, and she founded the nonprofit San Jacinto Conservation Coalition in 2000 to raise awareness of the San Jacinto River and to help conserve its valuable riparian forests.
